[WSG] Issue with CSS, Flash and FireFox
Hello to All, I have a slight issue that is driving me batty. I am unable to get my flash/shockwave file to behave in FireFox. In FF, the flash file lays on top of the footer, but in IE, it stays where it is suppose to be. Here is the url to the work in progress, which works well for IE. http://www.kustom.com/Kustom2005/index.htm Any solutions that help me better understand the slight differences and how to overcome them in the future will be greatly appreciated. Thanks Jeff D. Reid MIS Dept. You have a number of validation errors per the W3C HTML validator; perhaps start with clearing those up? One of the errors mentions trying to use src with the embed tag... Also some issues with the navigation sliding of the plate in Safari It's true of, presumably, all browsers because your menus are absolutely positioned. Hi, If he didn't see it before posting, how would it be all? I'm curious about what seems to be a contradiction to absolute positioning. Re: Re: [WSG] Issue with CSS, Flash and FireFox
I added an absolute value to the left margin for my main container. This appears to help with the menu sliding issue. Hi Chris I think Jeff's doing a bit of live updating here of the example page, but when I looked the menus were being positioned absolutely relative to the page, but the other content of the page was being centred. Presumably on a 1024x768 the menu positioning looked right.
