RE: [WSG] Disapearing divs in IE v5.0 only | Browser testing
Hi all, Sorry for the late response just returned from Glastonbury. > I use also multiple versions in my XP SP2 and I also confirm Patrick results. Retested and it doesn't work. On closer inspection IE v5.0 isn't actually running, it's v6.0. I think IT services have updated the OS on my PC and has somehow affected "multiple IE" settings. It no longer works even when running IEXPLORE.EXE directly. Think the best thing to do from here is to run a second OS with Virtual PC then have multi-IE on that. Thanks for the feedback guys. I'll do some testing on the disappearing div's over the weekend and try to get that right too. mike 2k:)2 e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] site: http://www.webSemantics.co.uk ** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed. Mike, I use also multiple versions in my XP SP2 and I also confirm Patrick results. But I also would love to hear about else's experiences and opinions with multiple IE. Roberto Patrick H. RE: [WSG] Disapearing divs in IE v5.0 only | Browser testing
Hi all, I've just inspected my site in IE 5.0 for the first time since development last year. I was amazed to see errors creeping in, even though it's valid (X)HTML. The right-hand column has divs which do not display in IE v5.0 on a PC unless hovered over. They disappear again if scrolled out of the window. IE 5.2, on a Mac, displays correctly. Does anyone know why this happens and perhaps suggest a fix? http://www.websemantics.co.uk/ This error has made me re-evaluate my testing procedures. Until now I have used "multiple IE" on one machine. Now I'm a little concerned that it may not be good enough and need to revert to using virtual PC. How does everyone else test IE v5.0? Virtual PC, Separate PC, or Multiple IE? And are you satisfied with the results obtained? mike 2k:)2 e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] site: http://www.webSemantics.co.uk ** This email and any files transmitted with it are confidential and intended solely for the use of the individual or entity to whom they are addressed.
