Re: [wsjt-devel] serial control port problem RC3
HI Bob Yes thats understood, The reason I mentioned it is that if its there people will try it, whereas if its not listed they will assumed it doesn't work higher than 6mtrs. Hopefully be able give the list some peace n quiet now :) On Fri, 9 Dec 2016 23:16:28 + Bill Somervillewrote: > On 09/12/2016 20:12, Richard Bown wrote: > > Any chance of adding 70cms and 23 cms to the MSK144 pulldown, it does work > > on those bands. > > Hi Richard, > > glad you have your new system running now. > > We do not add many working frequency entries for bands above 50MHz as > regional allocations and band plans mean that there are few common > frequencies. We do not add many working frequency entries for bands above 50MHz as regional allocations and band plans mean that there are few common frequencies. You can add working frequencies yourself in "Settings->Frequencies" so just add the ones that are useful to you for the modes you use. 73 Bill G4WJS. -- Developer Access Program for Intel Xeon Phi Processors Access to Intel Xeon Phi processor-based developer platforms. Re: [wsjt-devel] serial control port problem RC3
Damn It, I'd forgotten that Bill, sorry about that PTT now working and decoding GB3UHF, ,it was too strong. Any chance of adding 70cms and 23 cms to the MSK144 pulldown, it does work on those bands. Re: [wsjt-devel] serial control port problem RC3
It wasn't , but it hasn't made any difference, I've restarted several times , Also very difficult to close the settings window as its complaining of not contacting the serial port. I try recompiling as I'm not getting decodes on GB3VHF JT65B either, and it a large signal with me On Fri, 9 Dec 2016 18:49:07 + Bill Somervillewrote: > sudo adduser $USER dialout -- -- Best wishes /73 Richard Bown Email : rich...@g8jvm.com HTTP : http://www.g8jvm.com nil carborundum a illegitemis ## Ham Call: G8JVM . [wsjt-devel] serial control port problem RC3
Hi I gave up with the Odroid for weaksignal use, and replaced it with an Dell755, for about $60 I'm getting a problem controlling the PTT from the serial port, In settings I've selected rig = none and tried both DTR and RTS and tried both the internal serial ports ttyS0 and ttyS4 I also tried plugging in a USB FTDI hub and still getting "hamlib can not open PTT device /dev/ttyS0" or what ever port I set it to :( Also if I use the test ptt button I get a Hamlib I/O error and the lefthand box goes red, nothing happens to the righthand "testPTT" box , just get the Hamlib I/O error box come up. richard@G8JVM-OptiPlex-755 ~ $ dmesg |grep tty [0.00] console [tty0] enabled [1.433631] 00:03: ttyS0 at I/O 0x3f8 (irq = 4, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A [1.456442] :00:03.3: ttyS4 at I/O 0xec98 (irq = 17, base_baud = 115200) is a 16550A [1.516413] tty ttyS22: hash matches [9.548589] systemd[1]: Created slice system-getty.slice.
