That explained why I could not upgrade. [X2Go-User] The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating the session.
I have an issue with a server, that has stopped working. I can log in with ssh, but the x2goclient gives the error "The remote proxy closed the connection while negotiating the session. This may be due to the wrong authentication credentials passed to the server." I have other x2goservers, that works fine from the same client. The affected server has been rebooted, and I have also tried to purge x2goserver and reinstalled. No resolution yet. I can see that the version on the affected server is 4.0.1.19-0~106. On the server that works, it's 4.1.0.0-0~1257. I have tried to: sudo add-apt-repository ppa:x2go/ppa sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get upgrade But it seems like the update command don't fetch the x2go-repository at all. Anyone that has ideas to resolve this ? -- best regards Kjetil ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org http://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user
[X2Go-User] Libreoffice 4.x on X2go in Unity
Hi There is an odd problem when we launch Libreoffice 4.x spreadsheets in X2go: If we open more than 3 spreadsheets at a time, some documents seems to be open in the task management panel, even if they are closed down. The problem does not occur with Libreoffice textdocuments. Neither do the problem occur on Libreoffice 3.x. And finally, the problem does not occur if I log on directly on the server without X2go. The server is running Ubuntu 12.04 Unity. I have tried with both X2goclient and pyhoca client on Ubuntu 14.04. I attach a screenshot. Re: [X2Go-User] Asyncron bandwith issue
Hi Mike > For debugging... Does the same issue occur if you use pyhoca-gui instead > of X2Go Client? We installed the pyhoca-gui, and have tested it for a few days. It certainly makes a difference ! Now, the responsivenes of the remote connection is much better, and the desktop does not stall if he does certain actions, like right-clicking a mailbox folder in Thunderbird. > What OS is the client-side: Linux/Windows/MacOSX? The OS on the client side is Ubuntu 14.04 64-bit with Unity. The OS on the server side is Ubuntu 12.04 64-bit with Unity Anyway, it is strange that we only see the problem on this particular ISP connection ? I must mention that there is just a few users, and the other users are all connected on fiberchannel ISP's. Is there any difference in the way the X2go-client and the Pyhoca-client handles asyncron bandwith ? We have not tried Stefans scp or rsync proposal yet. [X2Go-User] Asyncron bandwith issue
Hi One of my users have a 20/3 Mb/s connection, and experience problems when he connects to our server. The problem is that the icons do not refresh, and that the desktop stalles if he does certain actions, like right-clicking a mailbox folder in Thunderbird to display a list of options. The problem does not occur, if the same user log in from a 20/20 connection, or even a 3G dongle with approx 3 Mb bandwith. Continous ping test with packet size of 25000, for 3 hours shows no packet dropped to the server for his 20/3 connection. What would you recommend as proper network settings, or how we troubleshoot the issue ? regards Kjetil Fleten ___ x2go-user mailing list x2go-user@lists.x2go.org http://lists.x2go.org/listinfo/x2go-user
