Okay, can you please provide me with the output of sudo lsof -n -i | grep -i ssh and ls -ldh /etc/ssh_host_rsa_key.pub Looks like you don't have an RSA host key (which would be weird, if the system sshd is actually running.) In that case, X2Go Client currently spawns a private sshd instance *with an DSA key*. Newer OpenSSH versions deprecated DSA keys, though, so that's probably the reason why starting it up fails. I did not change the port, so it should be listening on the default port 22. The client setting for the local SSH-port for file sharing is 22. We need file sharing and printer support, therefore it is not an option to suppress the warning message by disabling these functions. Connection works fine, but a message box pops up with the message: SSH-Daemon konnte nicht gestartet werden. However, I have an ssh-server running on my machine, and I am able to connect to it from remote.
