[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16053] New: no checking for filesystem limitations
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16053 Bug ID: 16053 Summary: no checking for filesystem limitations Classification: Xfce Core Product: Thunar Version: unspecified Hardware: PC (x86_64) OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Medium Component: General Assignee: xfce-bugs@xfce.org Reporter: marc.andre.ben...@hotmail.com Target Milestone: 1.8.10 files on filesystems are subject to certain constrains. So can files on Fat32 not exceed 4GB in size. copying a file (20Gb in my case) from in my case ntfs to Fat32 will result in the file copying and getting stuck at 4GB no warning about anything it will just wait for ever and basically do nothing because that constraint can not possibly change. therefor: first check if the source file is bigger than the biggest possible file in the targetfilesystem and then second start copying or throw an error... -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs

https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16050 --- Comment #3 from alexxcons --- Happens as well for mousepad, though xfce4-terminal seems not to be affected. https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16050 alexxcons changed: What|Removed |Added CC||alexxc...@xfce.org --- Comment #2 from alexxcons --- Thanks for reporting ! Interesting .. I use two monitors, where I almost always use thunar on the left one .. so until now I never noticed that the scrollbar has some "dead pixels" on the right :) I have no idea about "gtk-primary-button-warps-slider" .. though IMO it should not be required at all to run some specific settings, just to be able to use all pixels of the scrollbar on fullscreen. Though the provided "gtk-primary-button-warps-slider" may help to figure out what is needed to get it to work.
