[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16448] New: [Enhancement] Remember window positions in Thunar
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16448 Bug ID: 16448 Summary: [Enhancement] Remember window positions in Thunar Classification: Xfce Core Product: Thunar Version: 1.8.12 Hardware: PC (x86_64) OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Medium Component: General Assignee: xfce-bugs@xfce.org Reporter: mgruber...@yahoo.de Target Milestone: 1.8.13 It would improve the user experience if Thunar would remember window positions. To avoid a huge collection of every window ever opened, it could be limited by default to the last 50 or 100 used paths. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs
[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16412] Desktop doesn't adapt to the external monitor
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16412 --- Comment #21 from Alistair Buxton --- Also please note that there are two issues here: First, the behaviour that I observed when testing 4.14.2 (reconnecting the external monitor with the lid closed enables both displays, opening and closing the lid disables the internal) is what I expect to happen given the current code. If it does something different for you, that is a bug. Second, for laptops, plugging in an external display should check whether the lid is open or closed, and disable the internal display if it is closed. This is a feature request. I would like to fix the bug before tackling the feature. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs
[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16412] Desktop doesn't adapt to the external monitor
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16412 --- Comment #20 from Alistair Buxton --- No idea yet. I could not reproduce that part of the bug. I have pushed a branch with a lot more debugging here: https://git.xfce.org/users/ajb/xfce4-settings/log/?h=moredebug This is based on 4.14.2. Can you please get logs using this one? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs
[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16380] Desktop:Settings:Background with transparent color removes previous image
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16380 --- Comment #3 from Doug Denault --- I can supply a screen shot if required it this is pretty easy to duplicate. Prior to the change if you selected a background image with options: color: transparent; style: scaled and that did not fill the screen; you could then select style stretched and then style: scaled and get a potentially nice background image that filled the screen and was less pixelated. zoom and centered similarily could work and produce a better resullt. Someone deemed this behavior a bug so that stretched always appears with a white border. It is my contention that this 'fix' was available under the old code. Just choose color: white and style: scaled. I can provide a graphic if I did not manage to explain it -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs

[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16446] New: GUI backup & restore option similar to Panel Preferences?
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16446 Bug ID: 16446 Summary: GUI backup & restore option similar to Panel Preferences? Classification: Xfce Core Product: Xfconf Version: Unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Medium Component: General Assignee: xfce-bugs@xfce.org Reporter: orsch...@gmail.com Target Milestone: Xfce 4.12 Created attachment 9453 --> https://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=9453=edit backup and restore panel preferences Have just noticed this super handy and easy to use "Backup and restore" button on the Panel Preferences (see attachment). Something similar would be super user friendly to have for the entire Xfce desktop, for people to easily migrate and move with their own customised Xfce desktop. Any thoughts on this? Is this technically even doable to backup the entire desktop with all what the user did to customise? -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs
[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16412] Desktop doesn't adapt to the external monitor
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16412 --- Comment #19 from drasar --- Thanks Alistair for detailed investigation. Do we have answer for question why 4.14.2 xfsettingsd behaves correctly some time after fresh start of Xfce and then it gets broken? I don't understand this nondeterministic behaviour. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs
