[Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16778] [wishlist] Thunar innovations (Tabs, Format, etc.)
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16778 --- Comment #3 from alexxcons --- I opened a new bug for the "- FileManager" suffix in the title bar: Bug #16786 (In reply to User2020 from comment #2) > Is it possible to change the SHAPE of the Tabs, using different themes > (https://www.xfce-look.org)? Yes, afaik that is possible. Just take a try for different themes. E.g. adwaita uses some blue bar to show which tab is active: https://imgur.com/8PCBsIf.png Though on greybird only the color is slightly different. Since greybird is the xfce default, actually it would be nice to improve that. [Xfce-bugs] [Bug 16786] New: Remove suffix "- FileManager" from window title
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16786 Bug ID: 16786 Summary: Remove suffix "- FileManager" from window title Classification: Xfce Core Product: Thunar Version: unspecified Hardware: Other OS: Linux Status: NEW Severity: normal Priority: Medium Component: General Assignee: xfce-bugs@xfce.org Reporter: alexxc...@xfce.org Target Milestone: 1.8.13 Created attachment 9825 --> https://bugzilla.xfce.org/attachment.cgi?id=9825=edit patch to remove suffix (Followup of Bug #16778) Appending that sting does not add info .. from the taskbar icon it is anyhow clear that it is a file-manager. Besides that, on most folders the suffix is truncated. Most other Linux File Managers dont have a suffix. Only dolphin uses "-- Dolphin" as suffix. We could changing the suffix to "- Thunar", which would allow to differ between different file-managers if multiple are used at the same time. Though I dont think that is a realistic use-case .. so I would rather just drop the suffix. -- You are receiving this mail because: You are the assignee for the bug. ___ Xfce-bugs mailing list Xfce-bugs@xfce.org https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/xfce-bugs

If this is possible, please implement the following innovations in the future release of the Thunar: 1) Make Renaming file/folder in the File Manager Thunar like Renaming in Nautilus (File Manager), in Ubuntu (Unity). To make it clear, that the file/folder is renamed directly on the file, and NOT in a NEW WINDOW! The image is attached; 2) Make USB Flash Properties in the File Manager Thunar like USB Flash Properties in Nautilus (File Manager), in Ubuntu (Unity). The pie chart clearly shows how much free space there is on the flash drive. Please add a circle diagram: https://img12.lostpic.net/2020/04/30/3f8fce43c1ccf046c3de17b503ecd447.png 3) In Ubuntu I can open folder with pictures. For example in folder there is 10 pictures. I mark two images and press Enter. Open "The GNOME Image Viewer", and by clicking the arrow button I will see only these two pictures which I selected earlier! Now we will do the same in File Manager Thunar. The Image viewer will start, and clicking the arrow button I will see ALL (10) pictures! But I want the program to show me only two selected photos, and not all the photos that are in this folder!
