[Xpert] Re: Radeon QD (7200?) display corruption

I've got the same bug:

http://daique.dyndns.org/screenshot/xfree-cvs_20021129.png

It's also a 7200, i've sent a mail to this ml 2 times and 1 to
martin at xfree86.org (the radeon driver dev I think) but I have no
answer.

I have to use an old cvs version.

Cvs work great with a r128, it's a radeon driver issue.
Nobody now how to fix it?

[Xpert]cvs don't work with a radeon 32mo sdr

2002-12-12 Thread Cedric De Wilde
Hi,

I've compiled the cvs from the 29 november and the 11 december and it
won't work. It's really unusable : the screen has large black bands,
the mouse cursor blink, and some some apps doesn't render
correctly(like wmcalclock), some pixels appears randomly and when I
close X, the console is totally corrupted.

http://daique.dyndns.org/screenshot/xfree-cvs_20021129.png and
http://daique.dyndns.org/screenshot/xfree-cvs_20021211.png

The 16 october cvs work correctly.

[Xpert]questions about cvs and small bug in xv

2002-10-23 Thread Cedric De Wilde
Hello,

I've tested the cvs from october the 16. I've saw that the new cursor
seem to use real transparency. Is it accelerated? How can it be used in
an other app? I think it was working with Xrender but the samples code at
http://www.eax.com/render/ didn't work as well as the mouse cursor(slow
and buggy) and I don't know where to look for after thoses informations.

When I use gmplayer with xv output, if the cursor is on the rendering
surface, it sometimes create a blue square at the place where the cursor
is. With x11, it work well. I've got a radeon 32mo sdr, a slackware 8.1
with a custom 2.4.19 linux kernel and X was compiled with gcc 2.95.3

Thank you very much, now it work well. But when you talk about hardware
acceleration, is it related with dri? I haven't got time to install it
for the moment on my radeon. Can it be a problem for opengl ?

[Xpert]xinerama problem

2002-07-08 Thread Cedric De Wilde

Hello,

I've installed a second screen on my computer, the pci graphic card is a
permedia 2. My other screen is coupled with a radeon on agp. I've patched
windowmaker 0.80.1 to have xinerama support. I've modified my startx
script and it work well but after some times(5 min or less), the display
on the screen controled by the agp card start to display strange thing (
http://daique.dyndns.org/xinerama.jpg ).

The maintainer of the wmaker's xinerama patch say it was related with
the wideoram parameter, i've added it to fit to my 2 cards but it didn't
work better. My XF86Config file is at http://daique.dyndns.org/XF86Config
I've got a linux 2.4.18 kernel with xfs patch and XFree is 4.2.0 from
slack 8.1

Did somebody knew where this problem come from and how to solve it?
