[Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1727527] [NEW] cloud-init 0.7.5 doesn't honor the apt: proxy: setting, needs apt_proxy instead
Public bug reported: When passing a profile with an apt proxy defined in cloud-config data, it isn't honored for Ubuntu 14.04, but it is for 16.04 and 17.10 (I've only tried those). [Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1727358] Re: cloud-init is slow to complete init on minimized images
Could you run cloud-init collect-logs And then attach the cloud-init.tar.gz Also, Can you provide some information on what you were running? " cloud-init is slow to complete init on minimized images " How can I recreate this? One curious thing there is: 2017-10-25 13:22:07,157 - util.py[WARNING]: did not find either path /sys/class/dmi/id or dmidecode command I suspect you have a kernel without CONFIG_DMI, which seems unfortunate or possibly you're not on intel or arm64. For large jumps in your log, it took ~ 9 seconds (13:22:07,337 -> 13:22:16,112) from the exit of cloud-init-local.service to get to 'cloud-init.service' printing its hello message. That is basically the time it took the network to come up. Then we have a big jump (122 seconds): 13:22:16,264 main.py[DEBUG]: no di_report found in config. 13:24:38,088 stages.py[DEBUG]: Using distro class Those two lines in a vm I have on a openstack look like this: 2017-10-11 15:08:26,685 - main.py[DEBUG]: no di_report found in config. 2017-10-11 15:08:27,031 - stages.py[DEBUG]: Using distro class 2017-10-11 15:08:27,032 - stages.py[DEBUG]: Running module migrator () with frequency always That is ~ .5 seconds, which is not fast, but not 120 seconds either. ** Also affects: cloud-init Importance: Undecided Status: New ** Changed in: cloud-init (Ubuntu) Status: New => Incomplete ** Changed in: cloud-init Status: New => Incomplete -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Yahoo! But after this when I check neutron lbaas-pool-list , it shows pool being added. So exception came for incompatibility then why we are adding this pool into neutron db. Please check this link for commands executed: http://paste.openstack.org/show/624603/ Steps to reproduce:- 1) Create LB 2) Create listener of type HTTPS. 3) Create pool of protocol type HTTP. 4) Exception would get appears but if we check neutron lbaas-pool-list pool entry would be visible. [Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1726364] Re: Quota calulated when instance poweroff
Rather than deleting a powered off instance, I may want to keep it (because I will use it later). But I could not start anthor instance, when there are free cup or ram in fact. [Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1727266] [NEW] archive_deleted_instances is not atomic for insert/delete
Public bug reported: Description === Archive deleted instances first moves deleted rows to the shadow tables and then deletes the rows from the original tables. However, because it does 2 different selects (to get the rows to insert and to delete) we can have the case that a row is not inserted in the shadow table but removed from the original. This can happen when there are new deleted rows between the insert and delete. Shouldn't we deleted explicitly only the IDs that were inserted? See: insert = shadow_table.insert(inline=True).\ from_select(columns, sql.select([table], deleted_column != deleted_column.default.arg). order_by(column).limit(max_rows)) query_delete = sql.select([column], deleted_column != deleted_column.default.arg).\ order_by(column).limit(max_rows) delete_statement = DeleteFromSelect(table, query_delete, column) (...) conn.execute(insert) result_delete = conn.execute(delete_statement) ** Affects: nova Importance: Undecided Assignee: Belmiro Moreira (moreira-belmiro-email-lists) Status: New ** Changed in: nova Assignee: (unassigned) => Belmiro Moreira (moreira-belmiro-email-lists) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Yahoo! [Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1727262] [NEW] L3 agent config option to pass provider:physical_network while creating HA network
Public bug reported: In a customer environment, they are using sriov and openvswitch like below mechanism_drivers = openvswitch, sriovnicswitch [ml2_type_vlan] network_vlan_ranges=ovs:1300:1500,sriov:1300:1500 but sriov is enabled only on compute nodes and openvswitch on controllers. When first HA router is created on a tenant, l3 agent is creating new HA tenant network with segmentation_id from ovs driver. But when no more vlan ids available on ovs, it is picking up segmentation_id from sriov for later HA tenant networks. As ovs agent in controllers only supporting ovs and not sriov, binding for HA router network port(i.e device_owner as router_ha_interface) is failing. As HA network creation and HA router creation was succeful, but keepalived was not spawned, confusing admins why it was not spawned. So we need to enhance l3 agent to pass "provider:physical_network" while creating HA network. In this case, if l3 agent was able to pass provider:physical_network=ovs, and if no free vlan id's available, then both HA network and HA router creat ion will fail and admin can debug the failure easily. [Yahoo-eng-team] [Bug 1727260] [NEW] Nova assumes that a volume is fully detached from the compute if the volume is not defined in the instance's libvirt definition
Public bug reported: During a volume detach operation, Nova compute attempts to remove the volume from libvirt for the instance before proceeding to remove the storage lun from the underlying compute host. If Nova discovers that the volume was not found in the instance's libvirt definition then it ignores that error condition and returns (after issuing a warning message "Ignoring DiskNotFound exception while detaching"). However, under certain failure scenarios it may be that although the libvirt definition for the volume has been removed for the instance that the associated storage lun on the compute server may not have been fully cleaned up yet. ** Affects: nova Importance: Undecided Assignee: sahid (sahid-ferdjaoui) Status: New ** Tags: libvirt ocata-backport-potential ** Changed in: nova Assignee: (unassigned) => sahid (sahid-ferdjaoui) -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Yahoo!
