Check out TagBot http://204.9.184.47/software/. Looks like it's exactly what you need. JBS -- Some people try to turn back their odometers. Not me, I want people to know why I look this way. Refresh / Update / Reload Web Archive
Hi, I have several online timetables stored as Web Archives that now need to be updated as the timetables have changed. Is there any way to do this easily or do I need to return to the URL, create a new Web Archive and then delete the old one? Feature Requests
Hi, I've been using YoJimbo now for a couple of weeks and have integrated it into my daily workflow. I use it for everything from keeping meeting notes to storing passwords, serial numbers, receipts, account statements. I want to use this as my central information store. I find myself, however, really wanting a few features in YoJimbo: 1. Tabbed windows. It would be great to have tabbed opening of multiple items in YJ. Certain things you need throughout the day will be kept open all the item. It would be nice, also, to have a default set of items to open up when you launch YJ (namely, those items you access throughout the day). 2. Nested collections - it would be nice to have collections within collections - both of tagged and regular collections. 3. Read only notes - It would be nice to be able to mark a note as read only so you do not accidently edit it. 4. It would be nice to have a feature to export all items in a collection and all items in YJ. YJ really works for me, but if I decide a year down the road that I want to change my workflow, I'd like to be able to easily take my data in a portable format and go. If you export all, it would be nice to have files dumped into folders named by the collection names. Let me know if you have any questions or require additional information about any of these requests. My Yojimbo library contains over 2000 PDFs, with sizes ranging from a few K to 25+ MB, and I don't have any problems. My whole Yojimbo library is 9063 items and right at 4 GB in size. -- -- This message is sent to you because you are subscribed to the mailing list yojimbo-talk@barebones.com. My question is, what sizes are we talking about, that you consider a pdf collection as massive ??? My databse is just 55 MBs. My PDF collection is a couple of Gigs. Yojimbo will handle 55 MB's just fine. I have syncing turned on, so it was more of an issue with Apple's .Mac syncing, than Yojimbo. If I could even have a collection that I could say not to sync, and if the searching issues with large db's is fixed, then all would be fine for me, and no need to use two programs. Also, the db that Yojimbo uses is built into OS X; sqlite. I wonder how MySQL would compare to the speed of sqlite. Good luck! For me, it is syncing. If I could turn off syncing, and put all my PDF's in one category, but have the other categories sync, I would be all set. How fast is your searching with that size? My sqlite size is 400MB, and searching takes a bit the first time. It also seems to load a lot into memory. If you wish to export all your collections into named folders, you can do so using the scripting interface. (Keep in mind that an item can exist in multiple collections, and all items are accessible through the Library.)
