beach ball

2008-06-05 Thread doug rogers
I'm getting the spinning beach ball and some delays in opening the
Library window. I do keep it closed or hidden pretty much. Any ideas?

Re: restoring the drop tab

Does quitting Yojimbo and opening it again fix the problem?

BTW, the developers know about this issue. In my case it was caused
by Yojimbo not being able to check in with sync services at startup

It seems Sync Services has been at the core of a lot of our recent
problems on our Macs at home; Address book, iWeb, Missing Sync,
Yojimbo. I do hope Apple gets it fixed sooner than possible.

I noticed that the blank keystrokes pane has the message, "A System
defined action has the same shortcut". I suppose in light of things
this points even further to some system corruption or bug.

I've been through all of the possibilities I can think of - utilities
to clear caches, going ahead with the reinstallation of the update to
10.5.1 - which I thought was causing the problem - eliminating
duplicate instances of the system prefs app popping up, discovering
Services had a large number of duplicate entries, removing all my
startup login items, scouring through anything I could think of that
applied a keystroke to something.

In Yojimbo menu > Preferences.

Uhm, yes, I've tried that. I have been using Yojimbo since April of
2006, version 1.0.

I had to do an erase and install of the OS. I have been restoring
various preferences from the Time Machine backup. I have reinstalled
the Library folders and Preferences folders. Some of my applications
are not yet fully functional. I have also tried a fresh reinstalled
Yojimbo. This problem is not corrected.

There is no Drop tab, and there is no function key functionality. The
drop tab pane accepts the clicks and all the buttons are there, yet
the drop tab doesn't show up. The Function keys do not show up in the
preferences pane of Yojimbo.

I thought someone might know where the documents which set these
functions for Yojimbo might be that I can put them into my newly
installed System.
