[Zappa-List] Happy Xmas to all on the Zappa List
Hi Everyone, I'm actually posting this message via the website as I've just moved house and have not been able to have my pc up and running for over a week. I still can't send or receive *normal* e-mail. Anyway,I'd just like to say Happy Xmas to all on this list.in particular to the *usual suspects* such as Cris H (I will ring when I find your number),Chris F (thanks for the covers),Milhouse and Jim L (always intelligent contributions),Dawayne *Punky* Bailey (lots of interesting posts),Danny O'Dare (can't be his real name, surely ?),Bart (our agent in Poland),and of course SOFA for starting the list. It's also good to see how the list has become much more active in the last year with nearly 700 posts in Oct 2004. Keep it up guys. As for me,well I intend to dig deep into the large cd-r collection I picked up recently and offer some shows up in the New Year just as soon as I get sorted. By the way,Room 101 has released the Barcelona 88 show on DVD with the title *Barcelona The Hardway*,and there are rumours of further Room 101 Zappa releases. I have an original Room 101 copy of *The Torture Never Stops* NYC Palladium 81 DVD and it is great quality with fantastic packaging. Well worth rooting around for. Anyway, like I said guys Happy Xmas and Peace to All. Glen Yahoo! Groups Sponsor ~-- Listen to Internet Radio! Access to your favorite Artists! The files section simply isn't big enough to house the entire comic; please do not upload it there. If something else needs to be worked out, well, let me work it out. SOFA -I don't think I've ever seen it. In fact, I'm not sure I even know what you guys are referring to. But if it gets uploaded somewhere, be sure to post the URL here, I'd like to check it out :) --Milhouse NP: "I'm So Happy I Could Cry" by the Mothers of Invention For further Z-related fun, please visit http://www.thebignote.com or http://www.killuglyradio.com , thank you. Re: [Zappa-List] FZ comic
It's kinda lame, really... Worth seeing of course, but not worth the $20 a - ahem - FZ newbie would pay to have "anything related to Frank" (if you catch my drift here). It's the 'basic' MOI history up to just before the 71 stage tumble. The artwork is good - but not killer... Had R. Crumb done a Zappa history, THAT would be worth something. But this comic is pretty pedestrian. Again, fun to check out. But not crucial to possess. My 2 cents. SOFA I think many of us have seen it; I've owned it for about 4 years now.
