eBay... I got a unit there, probably 8 years ago or so. It's a decent unit and it cost me about $150 - shipping included. I agree. Back in 1980 I could recommend lots of good ones for about $250. Now it's best to just look on ebay for a good used direct drive unit. A new magnetic cartridge is a lot more now too. This place is the best I know of for new. http://www.needledoctor.com/ Then if you have a newer receiver without a phono input you need a phono pre-amp for a regular line input.
