Oddly enough, no, Jewish Princess never came up - I don't think Israelis really
can identify with that song, as it's really a North American cultural
phenomenon.

but I was thrilled that they did "Yo Mama" at some point
I always loved that song both musically and lyrically.
As I mentioned before, Ben Thomas added plenty of local references and little
jibes,

flirted with the front row crowd, at one point he jumped off the stage and sang
to people in the front row individually.

Sheila played "Hava Nagila" at one point during one of her solos
And on the encore, Dweezil called up a few of the young ladies to dance - but
they didn't really do the full "dance contest" bit that Frank used to do.

The crowd was definitely into the show, and there were many Zappa freaks there
who knew all the tunes, all the words, all the right places to laugh and
cheer...

Howdy, everyone.

I joined this group only a few days ago and thought I would introduce myself.

Hailing from Ottawa , Canada , I am a writer and Frank Zappa fan. Lately I’ve
been delving heavily into his orchestral work, as I find something new revealed
to me with each listen. (Overall, he was so prolific and diverse that it takes
a
long time for one to really wrap their heads around his musical genius. I was
first drawn to him by the novelty of some of his more controversial material,
but now find myself fascinated by the intricate music theory he employed so
intuitively. )

My favorite Zappa melody to hum is Uncle Meat, and my favorite track to
irritate
my wife with driving is Dirty Love. At the top of my wish list would be for a
rerelease of the original Cruisin’ with Ruben and the Jets album, as opposed to
the 1985 remix.

Cheers,
James
