[zones-discuss] iscsi target and initiator within local zone - not supported?
Hi Folks, I was trying to setup iscsi target in one local zone and trying to access it via initiator in another local zone. Basically I'm trying this as NFS server is not supported within a local zone. I'm running nvs87 on maramba. To begin I'm not seeing svc:/system/iscsitgt:default svc:/network/iscsi_initiator:default services in local zone. Also, when I try doing to set discovery on initiator after creating a target in global zone I'm getting this error. bash-3.2# iscsiadm modify discovery --sendtargets enable iscsiadm: Internal library error: Incorrect oid type specified iscsiadm: Unable to complete operation bash-3.2# Has anyone tried this before? I heard from Jeff Victor that local zones dont support hosting a iscsi target. -- Regards, -Nitin Performance and Applications Engineering Sun Microsystems, Inc. ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org
[zones-discuss] rlogin service in zone
Hi Folks, I'm trying to enable the rlogin within a local zone. However I'm not able to enable the rlogin service because the sysidtool is not getting started correctly. Any clue?? bash-3.2# svcs -x svc:/system/sysidtool:net (sysidtool) State: offline since Wed Apr 30 03:55:57 2008 Reason: Start method is running. See: http://sun.com/msg/SMF-8000-C4 See: sysidtool(1M) See: /var/svc/log/system-sysidtool:net.log Impact: 18 dependent services are not running. (Use -v for list.) -- Regards, -Nitin Performance and Applications Engineering Sun Microsystems, Inc. ___ zones-discuss mailing list zones-discuss@opensolaris.org
Re: [zones-discuss] rlogin service in zone
I have few tools that use only rsh. Anyways got it working now. I had written a script to configure the sysid and there was a bug in that due to which the sysid was not correctly setup.
