But reverting this change does not help to get the tests of

Is it intensional that ZTK tests fail in virtualenv? What needs be
done to get the tests running again in virtualenv?

I don't think this was intentional. Then again, I guess it __was__ the
intention to make use of the system-python-path-isolation-features in
zc.buildout. Personally, I'm not sure where to start fixing this, help
and insights appreciated...

Hmmm, maybe this has been completely obvious to others, but I guess it
really boils down to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/virtualenv/+bug/572545
where -S is broken in virtualenvs.

Grok's grokproject tool has exactly the same problems, where it doesn't
work anymore in a virtualenv *and* we're using -S when calling a newly
created project's bootstrap.py.

I'd rather shoot the system-python-with-isolation features in the head,
myself. Anybody *developing* ZTK should be willing and able to set up
either an alternative Python installation or a virtualenv.

FWIW, I'm not using zc.buildout = 1.5.0devel anywhere because of the
breakage it induces in my normal workflow.

[Zope] Clock server

2010-11-26 Thread Brian Sullivan
I am about to put the clock server function of Zope to work and am
thinking about what happens if the server fires its request while a
request is already in progress.

Is there some sort of built in lock preventing this from happening? If
not what is the most straightforward failsafe way to implement
something that would lock on entry and unlock on exit?

[Zope] problem installing Openflow product of zope on LINUX

2010-11-26 Thread smita kamdar
Hi,

I am supposed to set up development environment for a project. for that I
have already installed Zope-2.11.4, Python-2.4.4, Egenix-2.0.6,
Postgresql-7.4.13, Psycopg-1.1.6 on a RedHat LINUX box.

Now I need to install OpenFlow-1.1.0 in the Products directory of Zope. I
tried installing OpenFlow source tar ball by the following instructions –

./configure

Make

Sudo make install

All of the above commands worked successfully. But still I am not able to
see the openflow product on the Zope Management Interface Screen. Can you
please suggest something? It’s really urgent. Am I missing any steps while
installing OpenFlow? Please Help me.

Regards,

Smita
