Re: [Zope3-dev] Workflow support
Hello Alec, Look for zope.wfmc, the Z3ecm project (http://www.z3lab.org/) has built a package on top of that: ecm.workflow. AM I know very little about workflow in general, other than what I've AM read in this mailing list, but based on that, one of my applications AM is getting to the point where it seems very useful to implement some AM workflow stuff. One specific issue where I think it would be useful is AM defining relationships between fields (i.e., if question one is true, AM fill out questions two and three, otherwise skip to question four). AM There are other issues, but this happens to be the most pressing. AM Is workflow what I am looking for here? Or is there some other common AM method of implementing this? Re: [Zope3-dev] simpleTraverse raises NameError?
Thanks for the reply Stephan, So there are basically 2 options a) Add NameError to Undefs b) Make simpleTraverse raise AttributeError instead I am all for b) because an AttributeError it is, IMO Stefan On Sat, 12 Nov 2005, Stephan Richter wrote: On Sunday 23 October 2005 03:12, Stefan H. There is a test that seems to point to some use with regard to namespaces, but I don't see how this wouldn't work just as well with AttributeError. I definitely think this is a bug. I guess the | operator should simply also know how to deal with NameError. Stefan, it would be great if you could fix this or at least file a bug report. I'm running Zope from the trunk with the default settings in zope.conf . Look in the error log (errors link off of the zmi). There is also no message in the log file. I've noticed lately that many errors in ZPT are causing empty pages. I think this might be recent. I wonder if someone broke something in zpt lately. It would be great if someone could try to figure out if we have some general zpt error-handling problem, as I suspect we do. Didn't Florent delete the branch? Obviously he did not as I assumed. So in this case Philipp needs to commit his fixes to the existing 2.9 branch and the HEAD and the HEAD would be open for new code. Yes, I comitted all the changes to both the trunk and the Zope 2.9 branch. They should be identical. So at this point I don't care whether we get rid of it again and recreate it at a later point or simply leave it. Again, Andreas' call. Note that most of the work I still need to do is happening in the zpkg code, so the Zope code is basically ready for a release. The only things I have on my todo list for Zope 2 are: - stitch in more things from Zope 3 so that ALL unit tests pass (this will effectively mean stitching in twisted, maybe even more). - make some CHANGES.txt entries ;) Philipp ___ Zope3-dev mailing list Zope3-dev@zope.org Unsub: http://mail.zope.org/mailman/options/zope3-dev/archive%40mail-archive.com
