Thanks for your reply. I have seen references on how to set up adapters
in code, but I was trying avoid having to duplicate things that have
already been defined in zcml. However, if there's no other way around
it, then that's what I'll have to do.

Well, you could always install zope.configuration as well and then just
use the zcml, but provideAdapter is pretty lightweight and is what the
zcml stuff ends up calling under the hood anyway...

cheers,

[Zope3-dev] zope 3 wiki cleanup

2007-05-16 Thread Simon Michael
I was saying on irc earlier: I think we should start to organize the z3
wiki a bit more to make it web-app-developer-friendly and sysadmin-friendly
as well as zope-framework-developer-friendly. The simplest thing is to do
it in the same wiki for now, perhaps using a hierarchy like the one at
http://wiki.zope.org/zope2 . I didn't hear any protests, so I've started a
bit of exploratory reparenting - this is a heads-up to let you know what
I'm up to. I hope not to make things worse, but it's easy enough to fix in
any case. Comments, help welcome!

[Zope3-dev] rpm support for buildout

2007-05-16 Thread David Pratt
Hi. I recall Jim indicating that a buildout might be available
demonstrating the generation of an rpm. Is anyone aware of whether
anything is available to demonstrate this. Many thanks.

David
