[Zope3-Users] Running Zope3 as a Windows XP Service
How do you, or can you, run Zope 3 as a Windows XP service? I only see or read about using the runzope command from the bin directory. I want to register it as a Windows XP service. [Zope3-Users] ZopeTop Skin not working
OK, I got the http://localhost:8080/manage working and I am seeing the ZMI screen. In the Zope 3 Develop's Handbook by Stephan Richter page 16 is says that if I type in http://localhost:8080/++skin++ZopeTop/manage I will see a new skin ZMI screen. All I get is page cannot be displayed in the brower. [Zope3-Users] Expression not working in Zope3
OK, I added a Folder and called it MyFolder in the ZMI and then gave to folder a title called Some Cool Title. Then I created a ZPT page in the folder and enter some html and tal script as directed in the Zope 3 Develop's Handbook page 18. I then clicked to open the ZPT and did a preview. The page displays but the tal line which reads: h1 tal:content=context/zope:titletitle here/h1 and is to display the title of the folder Some Cool Title in place of title here does not display and there is no error code given. [Zope3-Users] Unable to Get Zope 3 running
I am new at this but I have been unable to get Zope 3 to run correctly from the internet or from another computer on my internal network. I downloaded Python 2.4.0 and installed it. I then downloaded the Windows XP version of Zope 3 and ran the installer. I then found that the installer only installs in the Python/Scripts directory and does not set up the instance. I figured out how to use the mkzopeinstance and got a instance directory created. Next, I figured out to issue the runzope command and got Zope started on port 8080. However, a lot of routers use port 8080 for remote admin, so I then had to figure out how to change the zope conf file to tell it to start using port 9090. OK, got it running with no error on port 9090 as an HTTP server on localhost. Ran the http://localhost:9090/manage command in the browser and I was connected at least on the computer it is installed on. Now the problem. 1. Cannot access the ZOPE 3 server from the internet or from a different machine on the internal network. 2. Cannot run as a Windows Service.
