Richie Hawtin announced today the first Plastikman live show on
plastikman.com. The event will take place June 3rd, 2004 in Montreal,
Canada as
anybody seen a plastikman show before? i was all set to go to his gig in
brooklyn (in 95?) when he was stopped at the border by the INS and sent
back to windsor. is/was it a live p.a. of solely plastikman material or was
djing with other tracks?

two-channel (stereo) recording of a song, which is then cut up, extended,
shortened, reversed, put through effects etc. These days this would most
likely be done in audio
... sounds like the best answer so far. Bringing a second question : a re-edit
is usually done without the original artist's authorization, while a remix is
commissioned by the artist, right ?
