A little OT but I see Legowelt is going to Aus and NZ.
I've not seen him live, but by all accounts his show is brilliant.

You could find it (without too much problems) on
the web for 55.00 $, so I asked him if it wasn't a
little bit overpriced.
He says:

Hi,
If Legowelt is playing live, this is a MUST SEE show. He tore it up
playing live at a small venue here in Chicago last fall. The only
downside was that this was a Monday night show, which slightly lowered
the attendance and party atmosphere. But the set was hot.
Also, this is clearly on

Rhaa I totally dont know that track and I am almost sure this is a
classic (Todd Terry ?). But the fact is that i have heard it recently at
Depp Space @ Cielo NY, but also in a party with Laurent Garnier and in a
recorded show from Deetron.
The track has some kindof slow 'Garage' rythm, a
Isn't it that horrible thing with Princess Superstar fronting - Mason

I wouldn't screw her with God's C*ck and Jesus Pushing

Sounds like Rodamaal - Insomnia. probably the ame remix. Did it have
some sexy portuguese vocals? Used to love that track but its charm has
been lost in a sea of epic lush ame ripoffs.

For those of you who record your DJ mixes - what program do you use? I was
just pointed to Audacity. Is it any good?
I'm on a Mac running OS X 10.4 if that makes a difference. I want
something that's pretty much click and record.
MEK
Audacity is free and open source, and lets you record and edit audio.
There are commercial packages as well like Bias Peak.

I find Peak pretty underwhelming. Sound Forge, its PC counterpart, is
much better IMO.
But as far as clicking record and away it goes, Peak'd be fine.

It might be overkill, but I swear by Amadeus Pro:

On an opposite note, I'm looking for something more like a command
line tool for audio processing, particularly to do batch normalizing.
Opening up a soundfile in SoundForge and waiting for the graphic
rendering of the WAV file to load, is often complete overkill, and

I'm pretty sure SoundForge can do batch processing, but I've never used
it. I've seen it in the menus.

Dave Shayman was an extremely intelligent, talented guy, who was a joy
to watch DJ, and great fun to hang out with. He was a huge supporter
of the Iowa City scene. He played here several times, as recently as
last summer, and was talking about coming back here this spring.
Some good stuff to be had here:
