Does anybody know about an old Detroit label called VU records? I have
a 12 by 'A-Tack' from 1986, the label indicates that it's distributed
by Metroplex records. I am curious to find out if it's a Juan Atkins
production under a different name - the tracks sound similar to that old
classic Rap

For me the first real Acid Track was Sleezy-D - 'I've Lost Control' on Trax
records (1986)...
The B-Line is pure acid, the only reason that this track is not recognised
as the first acid record is because the 303 is not 'tweaked' during the
track...

I must say that I had no problems at all with Mark Johanna, I went to
visit them and see the collection for myself (probably one of the best
Detroit techno collections in the UK when it was in its entirety...)
I had a great time chatting to Mark who is extremely knowledgeable on the
subject, I
