a lot of this has to do with the telecom bill of 1996 and the fact that companies can own hundreds of stations now (before it was 12) so big companies are buying up the smaller stations and with mtv consultant cookie cutter are making radio even worse then it was before. maybe satellite radio will

as much as i don't want to admit to this, 97.1FM has a show on weekend evenings called static radio that plays a hell of alot of local music. the guy who hosts the show should get major respect for even doing that, as aside from lizzie and the DET clan, no major market commercial stations are
