I guess it all depends on who the viewer is, I could go the whole rest of my
life without ever hearing of this guy again. I dont get it either as music or
art. The only way to make it harder for me to understand would be to have a
poetry reading happening at the same time.

been listening to some of the brittish acid techno
like dave the drummer, chris liberator, roland the
bastard (what a name, gotta love that guy), julian
liberator, etc, etc. i have noticed some similarities
between it and trance. a bouncy
i just now realized that this whole flash thread was

flash be on his release that covers his best songs of
the 90's?? i believe it is 4 or 5 records. good set.
i know the stalker, red light, and answering machine
are all on there.

i have been to parties out on the east coast, mid-west
and the west coast. the only place that had any kind
of age restriction was the East Coast, especially DC
and Baltimore. it made for a more fun and mature
enviroment. i am sick of going to parties and seeing
all these 14-18 year old kids
speaking of communique is Woody McBride working on
anything??? I am kinda curious since i have only seen
one thing from him in the last year and it was that
Sound Burnt record. just wondering

True that, but it also makes em more expensive. I
recall paying about $ 30 US for a 2nd hand AXIS 9
but yeah I *was* thrilled!

here are the best records i have heard lately. i
bought them. I realize some of them are old as shit,
but you just can't pass on good techno. man is it
hard to get good techno out here in southern
california. if anybody wants to send me their test
pressings and white lables get ahold of me.
not that i am complaining or anything, but why is
Kenny Ken and DJ Rap's new record coming out on Intuit
Solar or did i just read the back of the new urb
cd wrong. I think there was a hip hop album coming
out there soon. not very detroitish if you ask me.

I also forgot to mention that movie about hustling
drugs across the ambassador bridge in a spare tire.
that was shot mostly in detroit (as far as i know)
just the part with Steven Stills (or was it crosby?)
was filmed else where. i think that one was called
The Ambassador. i could be wrong

i got wind of Jeff Mills plans on thanksgiving weekend. He is spinning
a six hour set somewhere. I don't know where or what time or for who,
but he IS spinning somewhere in Detroit that weekend. He was invited
out to baltimore for that night to spin at a party with Richie Hawtin
and Derrick
This has got to be the best lineup I have ever seen for a party. It
would be my dream to see all three of tha godfathers at one place.
What might make it even better would be a three hour battle between the
3 of them. I think that would be the most incredible showing ever.
Too bad i am in DC
I can tell you already that you cannot go wrong with any CD by Richie
Hawtin or Derrick May. Claude Young is awsome too. not too shabby
