Richard's question and the reply to go to msconfig and remove some
programs from start up reminded me of one I've had for some time. I
have far too many things opening on start up and have tried any number
of times to decrease the number. Every time I do, the System

Thanks for your reply. After I stated the question I came to the same
conclusion and proceeded as you said. I've been computing a long time
but sometimes I'm not sure whether I'll mess things up. I've been
