Re: [AI] Issues using Outlook with NVDA

2020-07-28 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi,

The RAM is already 16 GB on the machine. I guess the processor is AMD, I am
not able to check though. The System Info page is not speaking anything
useful.

There are no add-ons on NVDA. Espeak is another screen reader or is it an
add-on tts for nvda??

Thanks,
Vaibhav

Re: [AI] Issues using Outlook with NVDA

2020-07-28 Thread Harish

Hi

Yes, Outlook and Office applications are resource hungry. You can close
NVDA and restart after the Office application is open. You can also
consider usinglight TTS like Espeak.

You can use NVDA  with minimal addons.

Usually Laptops and Desktops have vacant RAM slots, you can increase
RAM. Anything above 8GB should improve performance significantly.

I recently increased my laptop Builtin ram from 4 GB by adding another
8GB. I am observing significant improvement in performance. It cost me
about 4K for it.

While I am on a message and the SR is reading out the sender, subject, time

stop and it will give an experience that I am stuck.

Also sometimes speech will go out like I have switched off the SR and will
return back after 30-60 seconds.

I am guessing this is all because of the heavy size and requirements of
Outlook application.

Have anyone faced or is facing a similar issue? Any idea how this can be
fine tuned?

Thanks,

oxygen os is very accessible.
you will only have to use a different camera app.
you will get 2 years of software updates and 3 years of security updates.

Hope every one are safe.

I need to avail DSC for signing documents and filing GST for my
father's business regarding which I need to know do we have any
accessible DSC provider as I have contacted few of them but they do
not have any info about accessibility.

If some one is using Digital Signature Certificate as a totally blind

maintainance. Deasil model is generally more expensive than petrol
model. Deasil and petrol in terms of cost are equal therefore spending
more on deasil engin model would not be a wiser decision.
Ajay sir, defenetly I will look into the accessibility features of
creta, may consider it if its features are more attractive.
Turab sir, your suggestions are worth considering. Yeah driver is a
big concern, I will hier the driver very carefully. Can you tell me
how can I take meter reading accessibly with out asking the driver? In
order to get exemption of RTO tax, which price would be considered?
Showroom price of the car, or final on road price?

[AI] Issues using Outlook with NVDA

2020-07-28 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi Mates,,

I am using MS Outlook 2016 application with NVDA 2020.1.

While I am on a message and the SR is reading out the sender, subject, time
and other details, many a times even after pressing Ctrl the speech won't
stop and it will give an experience that I am stuck.

Also sometimes speech will go out like I have switched off the SR and will
return back after 30-60 seconds.

I am guessing this is all because of the heavy size and requirements of
Outlook application.

Have anyone faced or is facing a similar issue? Any idea how this can be
fine tuned?

Thanks,
Vaibhav

Re: [AI] Spell check issue on word 2016 standard edition with jaws/nvda

2020-07-28 Thread Vaibhav Saraf
Hi, I opened a blank Word 2016 document while using NVDA 2020.1.
Purposefully wrote some text full of spelling mistakes.

Pressed F7.

Focus went to first misspelled word, first it announced the word, then
spelled it with not in dictionary remark and then I got the options, and it
went on.

looks like there is surely some configuration issue at your end. I am not
sure which one though.
