Of course!!, we have to find answer for the legitimacy of using
rubber stamp signatures.

law of signatures has always had a whiff of technology about it.
Whether the issue be the legitimacy of using rubber stamps or
pre-printed forms, or the adequacy of a mere mark, there have always
been those who argue that the method used to inscribe a signature is
insufficiently permanent, unique, reliable or tamper-proof to satisfy
a legal requirement for a signature.

The English common law has never had much truck with technological
objections. No English reported judgment has ever struck down a
signature on the ground alone that inadequate technology has been used
to create it. Even an X impressed with a rubber stamp can constitute a
signature.

This is not a complete answer and if you would like to know, you can refer

people interested can also read the book reviewed there in the

If some of us prefer, Why don't we have a rubber stamp for our
signature?
you can sign in a white paper to the best of your ability and give
it to a rubberstamp maker and ask him/ her to make a rubberstamp for
you. It is not a new idea and it already prevails in some big
institutions where a person in higher designation requires to put
thousands of signatures at a given stretch. Thank you.

I used thumb impression in Centurian Bank account which I was holding
some years back. Though the bank allowed it at first, they denied it
saying that it will not be possible for the bank to verify that the
thumb impression actually belongs to me. A couple of other banks have
actually stated verification as a reason for rejecting cheques and
withdrawal slips with thumb impression.

Even an X impressed with a rubber stamp can constitute a
signature.

This is not a complete answer and if you would like to know, you can
refer

people interested can also read the book reviewed there in the
website. Legal experts in our group can share their wisdom on this

Re: [AI] about signature

2010-07-20 Thread Dinesh Kaushal
I am told that we can also ask the bank to provide us with a stamp of our
signatures, but this is very risky as anyone who gets access to our stamp
can sign on our behalf.

I have not yet tried this option.

I saw a pen developed by a South African company that takes picture of
the signature and checks with the database of banks or other
organisations who has your specimen signature. IT studies your hand
movements and remembers your signature. Don't know if this can be
applied to V I, but there is potential.

you can sign in a white paper to the best of your ability and give

institutions where a person in higher designation requires to put

Re: [AI] about signature

2010-07-20 Thread Sathiyaprakash Ramdoss

Even an X impressed with a rubber stamp can constitute a
signature.

This is not a complete answer and if you would like to know, you can refer
http://www.rjerrard.co.uk/law/sweet/sweet2009.htm
people interested can also read the book reviewed there in the
website. Legal experts in our group can share their wisdom on this
issue. Thank you.

I don't see anything wrong with using thumb impression as long as we
do not attach any stigma with it. As majority of us aware, not even
the identical twins will have the same thumb impression. Basically, no
one can fake it. However, in certain situation, I am having problems
in using thumb impression. For instance, signing on the back of
your credit / debit card immediately after you get and start using it
for the first time. I am using signature since 2005 and I did not have

Subject: Re: [AI] about signature

Indeed, it is simple and accessible. I used e-Mudhra digital signature
recently for e-filing IT returns for assessment year 2010-11. You can check
www.emudhra .com for more.

Dear friends,
Signature is one of the biggest issues for us.
Lots of among us have suffered because signature difference.
I couldn't find signature guide as a solution of proper signature. In
banking demate and other legal document I have lots of humiliating
experiences.
One of my friends asked me about digital signature, I have tried to
find it from Google, but unfortunately Google also has not satisfying
answer.
Though I have practiced enough but how ever my signature always differs.
Please give me proper suggestion how I can sign well, or is there any
solution such as digital signature.
Your guidance will really help many of us.
Thanks in advance.

2010-07-19 Thread Kamal Verma

Hello Dear,

Initially try to sign with help of signature guide, a metal window device.
Do not try your full name to make signature. Make shorter.
