I can reproduce this bug on a Thinkpad T42, where the boot freezes with
2.6.30-rc1 and -rc2. The kernel will boot OK if I remove hpet=force from the
command line.

Lastest custom DSDT works, it generates ACPI AC_adapter event on AC unplug.
