Confirmed. The steps (copied from Louis's link):
1. At boot time, press F2 to enter bios.
2. Press ctrl + alt + F7 to switch to advanced mode.
3. Select the advanced tab.
4. Select Intel Advanced

Thank you *so* much for that. That option never showed up in my searches.
Confirmed that on my machine that option allows it to boot and
suspend/hibernate are working, along with the function keys

Oops, the "disable Watchdog" suggestion came up in a different bug report,
where there was previously a conflict between WDAT_ and RTC that caused GPE
errors.
