Your forest admins aren't supposed to be emailing that thing around the
company. My recollection is that the license is one year from the date
of the ADRAP to be used on the machine it was installed on only.
Actually, I was in an ADRAP with my organization today, and the MS rep
said the
999,998 + 2 = 1,000,000, not 100,000. ;-)
good thing there are 998 on the list to correct me. :)

If you open a connection to ADAM, does the connection timeout after a
period of being idle? If so, how long is this time?

I have to make sure that new users do not get an already used number.
Scanning 4 accounts every time I find a new user is not very
effective.
I would store this number in a database table and increment every time you
need a new number.

All,
We have two ADAM servers, one is the primary, the other is only used as a
failover machine. The data is replicating between the two. We use a
common DNS name (myStore.myCompany.com) to resolve to the IP of whichever
ADAM machine is up. Our concern is with MIIS connecting to this
the objects
over.
Does this make sense?
Wouldn't it make more sense to replicate it over vs. transferring it like
that?

We are looking to transfer all of our records from one server to a new
server. We took this time to clean up the schema to remove some dead
attributes. What is a good way to transfer all the records?
We used ldifde to create an LDIF file, but it includes a lot of attributes
like PwdLastSet
Does anyone know of or use a SSO product that allows access to the
Oracle Business Suite of applications using AD accounts, or that can
synchronize the two? I see many that will interoperate with Oracle
Database accounts, but not with Oracle Applications user accounts.
Thanks!
