On Windows elements start from 0 for both drives and slots. And because
3581 has only one drive it would be element 0. And you will have drive 0
and slot 0.
On UNIX drives and slots have different element numbers.

It is supported via the Atape driver. Take a look at the IBM manual for

I have created single filespace backup sets and restored them ok by changing the

Thanks for the help,
From I have been reading the MOVE MEDIA command is to allow you to
move onsite tapes to an overflow location. What I want to be able to do is
to identify which tapes I need to send offsite and with one command check
them out, instead of having to check the tapes out
Doesn't MOVE MEDIA command meet your needs ?

Reclamation is controlled by the utilization of tapes. I believe that
if you have 4 or more tapes that are eligible for reclamation it will
kick off two separate reclamation processes.

I think that your thinking of migration. Reclamation only reclaims one tape

AS I understand it, you can only have ONE reclamation process
running at a time for each storage pool. You can have more than
one migration or Backup Stgpool processes at once for each storage
pool though.

The big thing behind the point system is that you buy a bunch of Tivoli
points.
Now, you have them all sucked up in TSM, TWS (workload scheduler) and
software distribution.
You now expand your data center but a dozen machines but you've used up all
your points and you don't want to buy any more.
Probably a privilege problem. Make sure that the account the scheduler
service is running in has the same privs as the account you are using
interactively.
