I have an STK9710 library (running as SCSI) on an AIX TSM server at 4.1.3.
The AUDIT LIBRARY either runs in 60 seconds, or sits and doesn't run at all,
as you describe.
The doc for AUDIT LIBRARY says it will prevent other library operations for
completing while it runs, but I have found that
You have to reset the reclamation threshold periodically to something like
50%. That will set the reclamation process going. When all the vaulted
tapes that are less than half full have been reset to empty, put the
threshold back to 100%. Do this on a regular schedule that fits into your
Size of database has nothing to do with Audit Library. Audit depends
on the library and how many tapes/slots are in it. Id you use the
checklabel=barcode option it will only take about a minute or
less in some cases. If you don't use that option, then it actually
mounts EVERY tape in library
Dave,
The volumes in this pool must still have valid data on them. Do you
still have valid data on tapes in the associated primary tape pool?
Maybe you coul consolidate the tape using reclamation?

Yes, PENDING means they are effectively empty, but you keep database dumps

It's pretty straightforward for the server code itself, but watch out for
