Nope. All other platforms the api isn't necessary. I agree with your customer. You could verify it by installing regardless of the dependency (--nodeps flag). I'm guessing Tivoli made a mistake including the api as a dependency. Unless someone from Tivoli wants to clarify why in this case it's

I've missed this in Jan. Anyway an answer. Define a class with retonly retextra = 2192 days, frequency=7. Later bind the directory in question + subdirs to that class No change in schedules at all. If data is *really* changing you will get again those 312 copies but in most cases you will not.
