Rob,
your problem is that you use scratch tapes but do not expire old DB
backups thus returning tapes to scratch. You library was filled with DB
backup volumes. Look at the output of Q LIBV command and check Last use
column.
To resolve issue the command DELete VOLHistory Type=DBBackup TODate=-7
Hi all,

the way I know it, 5.1 does support Win9x client side. the web site is
correct. haven't tried to mix it up with a 4.2 server, but haven't heard of
problems there yet. what exactly is the generic error you get?
have you tried doing a q actlog to see what the server says?
Cordiali saluti

Since we installed 4.2.1.15 server we have seen a lot of these lately. We
have a PMR open.

Kevin,
you provoked many answers to wrong thread. So get an answer on this one as
well.
Facts about 3584:
- you can have HVD, LVD or FC drives or mix of them;
- you can have from 1 to 72 drives;
- you can use one or dual channel SCSI, integrated or on slot;
- you can connect drives one per bus,

Luke,
you can define virtual filespaces using VIRTUALMOUNTPOINT option. They
would become separate filespaces on TSM server's DB and you can use DELete

The other possible approach is to re-bind *all* files from than directory

For sure it is Unicode problem :)
To have file names in more than one codepage you need Unicode support
which requires v4.2 client AND server. Other resolution could be to have
server and client with *same* codepage (regional settings). But if you
match server code page to that node's codepage
We sometime get this with a broke tape or a tape that is write locked. We
usually check them out and look at them. If they look good we log their
number and check them back in. We log the number to see if it happens to
them again. If so we get rid of them.
Just my 2 cents worth.

Hi eric,
This is not the all volumes in file_ptpool storage pool. There has a scratch

could anyone give a suggestion how to checkin the cleaning cart in the

So you probably don't want to install _all_ the patches. But if you want to
know when a new patch comes out so you can look it over there are many
products that can monitor a web site for changes. I'm sure that at least
some of them could watch a tree on an ftp site that allows anonymous access.
(Sorry for the length of this, but this is complicated. Don't read it
unless you are getting ANRD on reclaims):
ANR is a generic bucket message for anything that doesn't have its own

Assuming this is the pool you're trying to reclaim, at first glance I notice

You only need a reclaim pool if you have just one drive or the number of
mounts for the device class is set to one. If you have multiple drives and
define the device class to use drive or more than one then you do not need
to define a reclaim pool.

Hi, TSMers,
If you do not specify or leave blank when registering a node, what will

Check the README files, to confirm your planned migration matches your

just fine!), within the following constraints:
- old client on new server, only old features can be used;
- new client on old server, usually okay

Not true.

How about this,
1. Primary copies.
Set up another storage pool so that your migration hierarchy is
diskp-tapep1-tapep2
Every day backup to diskp then migrate to tapep1.
Limit tapep1's number of volumes to an appropriate percentage of your library. Set a
migdelay on this pool of at least one

Understand Rafael that incremental backups will only backup Domino files
if the DB ID has changed or if the file is new. DB IDs are changed if you
run a COMPACT -B or a FIXUP -j on the Domino file. If new documents are
added to the database this doesn't mean an incremental backup will
