I did the same, but then continued on to 5.1.5. No problems during upgrade as long as you follow the instructions. Make sure you choose the correct filesets for TSM (32 bit). I've heard where the upgrade db doesn't get done automatically for some (mine did), but that can be done manually.

Preventing log fillups is a delicate balancing process, especially if you run in ROLLFORWARD mode. But right now you're in a jam - you've got to extend your log, but you cannot because it is as large as it can be (13gb). Call Tivoli support. Then shrink your log back down to 12gb, so you can do

We went from 4.1.5 to 5.1.5 on AIX 4.3.3 ML10. Our TSM DB upgrade portion took approx 7hrs on a 4-way RS/6000 H80. The only things I can thing of keep in mind is the paths for DRM if you use, and when you upgrade to 5.1.0 first reg licenses, then 5.1.5. Regards, Charles -Original
