Hello,
does anybody knows of the DIFFESTIMATE parameter exists in the TdP for
Exchange ? As it exists for TdP for SQL ?
We would like to supress warnog messages we get about too small reservation
of required space for the backups.
Thanks a lot,
René LAMBELET
We used to run TSM on a old 12 processor S70. All 12 processors would be
used by dsmserv.

Hi
Do a q request to see wether or not you have a mount request in TSM.
Normally with a tape library of type manual, TSM will issue a mount
request for you to manually mount the tape in the tape drive. After you
have mounted it, you should execute reply X where X is the mount request
number.
Even with a tape into the tape drive the q mount returns:
ANR2034E QUERY MOUNT: No match found using this criteria.
This indicates that TSM doesn't know about the tape in the drive,
suggesting that either it didn't put it there (as in independent
action by an operator) or that it thought that an

Is there a way of releasing centrally managed objects to local control?

Browse your historic Activity Log entries and get a sense of the sequence of
operations. There will be a ANR8337I mounted message, and ANR8468I
dismounted message.

If you are manually inserting and ejecting the tape,

If you are referring to the registry entries under here:

Hi
As you are using a libtype of manual, your library wont have any volumes
in its on-line inventory. Therefore, executing q libvol will not show
you the volumes you have labeled.
As soon as you have labled your volume, the volume will be ejected from
the tape drive. That means, that the

Hello,
I Recently upgraded Novell TSM clients from 4.2.2 to 5.2.2
Here is my procedure
1) From The TSM Client installation directory save the DSMSCHED.LOG,
DSMERROR.LOG , THE DSM.OPT
.PWD FILES To a save area.
2) Unload the scheduler module (unload DSMCad.NLM)
3) Install the TSM client

You have to define volumes in the tape stgpool you have created in the Manual
