I have used only IBM LTO1 tapes in my 3584 Fibre drives.

Hi,
Forget SNMP support on a Windows based TSM server. Some time ago, when a major
security-flaw was discovered in almost all SNMP implementations, it seemed like IBM
decided not to update the required component for Windows - together with a statement,
that SNMP v1 is insecure. I don't know
We use Fujifilm LTO1 in our Dell SAN attached PV136T library and haven't have any
problems with them, we've been using them for the last two years at least. Maybe it's
just a bad batch of tapes? We also use HP LTO's with no problems either, we have been
warned by Dell not to use Imation LTO's

Hi Markus
IBM is no longer developing drivers for the 3575-series of libraries.
However, the old drivers are still supported. Thats why you can use it on

However, try running it with for example Linux, and you'll find out that

Well, you *can* use Servergraph to send SNMP traps to TEC or OpenView, etc.
It's nice because your TEC people don't have to figure out which of the

error messages they need to handle - Servergraph only sends 220 or so
different
messages, with suggestions as to how to handle each one.

Maybe you need to include the -subdir=yes option on the RESTORE command.

Try this:
dsmc restore -pick=yes -subdir=yes -fromnode=szent063
\\szent063\c$\dsmsched.log c:\nobackup\

Using TSM-Gui i have no problems doing cross-restores.
Because being inside the GUI during the operation does not expose you
to shell expansions...
If you run
dsmc query access
from the machine whose node is szent063, what is the output? Does it
indicate that node pc7802 has been given access?

Ditto here. We even opened a DCR a couple of years back to get this
changed to an exception status so at least a q ev * * ex=yes would show
them, but it was turned down. What we were told, basically, was that TSM
is 'client-based' and in order to know whether a backup completed

Richard, the shell expansion is not an issue on Windows.

We're getting ANR8302E errors on our 9840C tape drives during RSR (reverse
space record) requests. These typically occur during reclamation and move
operations on all drives.
A pvr trace shows the following:
12:27:30.205 [26][pvr.c][11487]: PVR I/O
I've got it working on TSM 5.2.2.2 Win2K server and Openview.
Is this your first attempt with SNMP on Windows, or is your problem specific
to 2003?
If not, maybe I can help. Better email me directly, there are a lot of
steps..

Hi,
Need you help!
I online restored db2 database. Erverything is good when I restore the database and it
told me that the recovery is successful. After that, I check the database, but it
did't change anything. it still is the same as before recovery. I don't know why.
thanks

Suggest you try a DB2 forum. I don't think you have a TSM problem.
Now, did you do a restore and then apply the logs? Because if you did you will have
recreated the same error that you are trying to back out from.
Steve.
