Hello, in my library is a backup tape, which is sad could hold 100GB of uncompressed data and 200GB if the data is compressed. Well by now this tape holds 308 GB und reports only 48.0% filled. Is this OK? I mean shouldn't it be 150% filled or even better a secound take gets used. AKZ902L1

Before export I've checked all the volumes from storage pool and they have the status ReadWrite. Beside that, after export, I put again the tape in ReadWrite status and I coud move the data to storage pool. How could I investigate if some tapes have problems before export? -Original

I think it's more of a need to fix the reason for the failure, rather than ignore it. If this is Windows2003, then for full support of the System State, System Services, and ASR you need a 5.2 client and a 5.2 server. According to posts on this list, you can get a full recovery using the 5.1

There is no override for the return codes. RC 12 means that something else went wrong; it's not a good backup (at least not as defined by TSM). Check your dsmsched.log and dsmerror.log file for errors that pertain to something other than skipped files. If, except for skipped files, a backup

What service pack level is the rest of the server at? Also, when you changed between sp3/tsaup15, did you update all the components or just tsa600/tsafs? Are the volumes TFS/NSS, how much memory does the server have, and how does Remote Manager show the memory being allocated? Troy Frank
