Admin Center issues

2006-03-02 Thread Dirk Kastens
Hi, first of all, I really like the new TSM Administration Center. It's much more concise than the old webadmin interface, IMHO, of course ;-) I'm using the latest version 5.3.2.0 and ISC 6.0.1 (TSM 5.3.2.3). Two problems occur that I don't find in the APAR list: 1. In the Communications window

Re: Predefined File Volumes Not Filling To Capacity

2006-03-02 Thread Dave Frost
Andrew, This looks like it could be a consequence of the undocumented change made to the file devclass at v5.3 such that the minimum write to a file devclass file is now 256K. Check apar IC48331. However, this apar is only to update the documentation to match the observed behaviour.

At this point I would advocate testing it yourself to be sure. I never did a q tsa nds (I did do a q tsa however), and my eDir backups have been working fine. Patrick seems to have had a different experience though, so it could be determined by some unknown detail like tsm client version, tsa

The first thing I noticed is that your tsm client version is downlevel compared to the server. Also, your tsa versions are pretty old. Judging by what you do have, I'm guessing you're running an early service pack level of Netware 6? If that is all accurate, I would update netware to sp5 (with
