We have a few novell servers we archive once a month, export the archive data in the filespace, then the delete the archive data. Just note it deletes ALL the archive data in the filespace. would something like: delete filesp mymailserver MAILFS\VOL1: type=archive be helpfull? filespace name

Len, Interesting ideas. Would putting a governor on it at the TSM level or the network level interfere with data restores? Or could this be limited just to backups? I am not experiencing this problem. I am just raising the question as a thought to consider before implementing this.

ftp://ftp.software.ibm.com/ is an anonymous ftp site. I just tested it using command line ftp from windows. You should be able to login using the user anonymous and just about anything as the password (I just pressed enter for the password). If this does not work, then you probably have an FTP
