Hi All,
Sorry for the long debug
I wonder if anyone had this issue with TSM: 6.2.3.100 and DD890: OS
5.1.0.5-269447
1) TSM Server's happily writing to a vTape
2) At the same time, the VTL pool replication pair is setup on DD console,
causing this series of error messages on
a PMR open with IBM and a Case open with DataDomain on this
issue. I don't have the numbers handy, but IBM and DD are talking to
each other about this.

Hi,
I've just upgraded a V6.2.2.2 TIVsmSdev pkg on Solaris x86_64 to
v6.2.3.0 and the DataDomain virtual library stopped working !
After downgrading back to v6.2.2.2, it starts working again with no
single error whatsoever.
The errors I get (in hundreds) with TIVsmSdev v6.2.3.0, after starting
Hi,
It turns out that DB2 expects to be able to do direct IO, but ZFS does not
support that. This caused errors when writing to the DB
We have the same environment: 6200 and 6201 on solaris 10 x86(10/09) zones with

I show you a easy way to report in all CPUs to TSM Server so you can have a
nice spreadsheet with all CPUs/Cores and PVUs
Uauuu... Would that info be shareable with the guys that won't be at Pulse ;-)

Hi,
My workaround for that is having an administrative dir (local or nfs shared if
you prefer) with the following contents:
* 1 dsm.sys file containing the minimum necessary dsmadmc configuration of all
the servers to be managed, like this:
[tico01]/tsms/zero/etc # cat dsm.sys
SErvername
Query OCCupancy STGpool=DIRTAPEPOOL
Or
select distinct NODE_NAME from OCCUPANCY where
STGPOOL_NAME='DIRTAPEPOOL'

In one of the sites I manage, I have 47 drives in use by 1 library

As each path must match the machine device, manually

Would anyone using TSM with a EMC DL3D 4000, care for some experience
exchange ?
I'm specially interested in this vtl's replication functions for
disaster recovery purposes. What kind of procedures *must* be setup in

What about an incremental or asynchronous restore (or whatever we may
want to call it)...
The file space may have 2TB but how much of it is changing every day ?
5%, 10 %, 15% ?
I Would try the following:
1) copy the dsm.opt file to the target machine
2) target machine only:
