The TSM support for NDMP backups using TOC's was disabled at the GA for
6.1.0.0 due issues that were identified with performance. Those issues are
being worked on and are expected to be resolved in a fix-pack for TSM V6.
At the current time, this fix
hints or tips on how to speed up a pure disk Oracle
RMAN/TDP restore? Is the solution that we should flush the db backups to
tape in order to be able to make use of ResourceUtilization and
MaxMountPoints settings?

You're right there are some expensive solutions. I believe ServerGraph has
the e-mail notification capability, but in our environment we were quoted
$35,000 for the initial installation, plus 15% maintenance. TDS for SMA
does not have e-mail notice capablity.
If you check the ADSM.org archive
client GUI in Preferences, Backup tab Backup all local
filesystems is checked.
I would have expected to see allLocal Yes in the above DOMAIN OPTIONS.

I am seeing the above error frequently, and mostly from Mac clients. My
servers are at TSM 4.1.3 and clients are at TSM 4.1 or TSM 4.2
Clients have alias to scheduler daemon in startup folder, and on boot, I
see the connections established to sync the scheduler. Then during
setting to take ownership of
files and other objects, and that also fails.

Indeed it is too bad TSM (or Veritas or Legato) doesn't supply a
notification mechanism. It's pretty simple for our UNIX clients to notify
themselves, but for others, not so easy.
We load a DB2 database every morning with info from TSM server databases
(we've got 8 servers). Then we run a
run e-mail notification scripts off these date/time fields, and they're
going to fail without these completion statistics.
Nothing unusual in the dsmsched.log. In fact, the last message is
"Successful incremental backup of Registry".
