Hi All,
For anyone who has installed the V6 Reporting and Monitoring server, how are
you backing up the DB2 Tivoli Data Warehouse that is on this server? Does this
DB2 database need to be stopped, copied over, then restarted, then backed up
from the copy? If so, could you direct me to any
Hi All,
I'm wondering if anyone is running TSM V6.1.3.1 on an IBM server similar to a
p5 p570? I definitely need more memory for V6, since I only have 8GB and the
documentation says the minimum memory for all but the tiniest server should be
12 GB, 16 GB if using deduplication. I'm

TSM servers and supported virtual machines in the V6 announcement.

We need to back up a Cisco call manager but it only allows sftp-based

files to an intermediate server before being backed up?

Hi All,
We are thinking of replacing our IBM p 570 with a p 520. This server
would be used exclusively for TSM backups. We back up about 1.5 TB
every night. We have two tape libraries, one about 50 miles from here
and one locally, where we send all the backup data (about 66 TB total).
We have
I'm sorry--I forgot to add some additional information. Our p-570 has
four 1.9GHz CPU's (Power 5+) vs. two 4.2 GHz CPU's (Power 6) for the
p-520.

Wanda or All,
Is it possible to manage a TSM configuration where a Configuration
Manager is, say AIX, and the Managed Server is, say Z/OS? Or is it
possible to convert a database, used on an AIX server so that it could
be used on a Z/OS server? If so, is anyone doing this, especially for a
server. As it is, we'll need to buy a smaller AIX
server for this purpose.

We will be phasing out our OS/390 mainframe in the next few years.
Currently, we have our TSM server installed on the mainframe, so we will
