Reducing database volume

Hi Everybody, I've created and extended my database in TSM version 5.1.6. I now realize that I would like to remove it for various reasons. I've checked the administrator's guide , and I know I can do a delete dbvolume dbname . Now, just to be sure, will this move the data from the dbvolume
