You may be able to run diagnostics to try to get information on what's going
on. Definitely inspect OS logs and the TSM Activity Log for any details on the
error condition. Also, verify that your drive and library firmware levels are

they become unavailable .

Hi, I´m new in TSM, I´ve 29 tapes and 2 drives, all of my tapes are in private
state, some are in filling status and others in full, if I execute the sentence:
select volume_name, pct_utilized, status, pct_reclaim from volumes where
pct_utilized 20
I get
VOLUME_NAMEPCT_UTILIZED
at least 5 scratch tapes.

over a short term lack of scratch tapes unless your pending re-use delay
will expire before the tapes arrive.
My inclination would be to stop all reclamations until the new tapes

Couple of things comes to my mind.
Without knowing what your TSM environment is like it's hard to say..
however, these similar situation might happen.
Out of scratch tapes. Disk pools fill up to 100%. Migration from disk to
tape pools fail.. tape copies from onsite to offsite fail.
