The OC is installed on my source server and has become an integral tool for my
operators, so if it's not available for the test certainly someone will

I've done some testing of the client without the test flag, and also running
the 'list writers detailed' command and we don't appear to suffer from any of
the issues the test flag is intended to work around.
My plan now is to arrange with our Windows admins
that should be properly sorted at the OS
level (something going haywire in the OS), but in the mean time, if you
need to do a file restore, or maybe a backup of a user file (not operating
system related), then the test flag bypasses this enumeration and thus
avoids the delay.

We have purchased a new, even beefier server then our last one.
To make sure it is configured optimally, we want to test how long an
expire inventory runs. Our biggest server is up to 190G DB and expires
run 40-48hours.
I installed and configured the new server, connecting it to the main, tape
, as the test TSM goes to use expired tapes for database
backups and any other server scheduled or triggered events. That
server may also adjust the settings of tapes in the library, out of
sync with what the real server is doing. Interesting situations may
