1) This will not work, you must do an export/import of the server.
2) The 3494 tape library only connects
Can someone please explain this to me. I don't find any of these duplicate
entries in the dsm.opt file as this error message states. Is anyone else
seeing this?

Yes, we've installed it in test. Was recommended by Tivoli to install
4.2.1.8 instead of 4.2.1.7. No problems yet. Atape 6.1.9.0;
atldd 5.0.7.0.
WHY Something wrong with 4.2.1.7 we should know about?

I have a strange phenomenon that occurred with one of my offsite tapes. The
tape was written on the 9th as you can see below. It was supposed to be
checked out on the morning of the 10th but it was not. All data points to it
being what it says it is yet I can't figure out why this happened. mtlib
And TIVOLI DOES NOTHING TO CLEAN UP THE MESS, which is pretty
representative
of Tivoli corps behavior since taking over marketing of this
first class
product.
Wanda,
Nicely put..I would have used the expletives though.

We think of replacing the 3490E normal tapes by long-tapes.
Does TSM support a mix of different tapes?
Fred,
I have the same issue here. The modified 3590 has a green 2x sticker on
Question:
Is anyone familiar with exactly what the feature code, Feature 5781 -
Extended Media Support @ $1,350 ea. has for parts? The cost is rediculous
and all I see is 5 plastic parts in a bag, 2 screws and a sticker. Seems
awful expensive if you ask me.
Is this all there is?? Am I
