Re: Duplicate googleClickID for "Headline" and "Sitelink" in Click Performance Report - recent change?

2017-06-02 Thread Eric B
If you run the report using this definition file (below) using the API, you
get duplicate googleClickIDs. Yes, they differ by campaignID. Is it
expected that the same googleClickID would be re-used across different
campaigns?

 This one is so odd because it's the same gclid across campaigns. Bug?
  If not, I need to know the distinct set of identifiers to key off of.

Re: Using Set Operator for offlineconversion

2017-06-02 Thread venkat . jg1980
HI Shwetha
Is there a way we can add a negative conversion value using ADD
operator. The use case we have is to update the conversion value of an
existing gclid as it can sometimes decrease.
Since we cannot use SET operator, we are wondering if we can upload a
negative value so that we can get that effect. I know there is a greater
than zero validaiton, is there a setting we can use to override it and
upload a negative value?

Thanks

Re: Clickid and Site

2017-06-02 Thread venkat . jg1980
Hi Shwetha

We have Click id in our system and our plan is, if we can somehow get
placement and glcid in a report from ad words, then we can map placement to
our internal data by matching on click id.
The Url performance report that you mentioned did not have the click id.
Is there any way we can get performance data at Click id, and placement
irrespective of targeting criteria?

Thank you

Hi Venkat,

You can use the CriteriaId

 and CriteriaParameters

 fields
in Click Performance Report to get the details of the Criterion associated
with the click. For placement-targeted campaigns, this will provide the
matching placement targeting criteria for the site where your ad was

   - CriteriaPerformanceReport.Criteria

Re: TargetingIdeaService API sort keywords on basis of relevance

2017-06-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Nitin,

While TargetingIdeaService

 is
equivalent to the Keyword Planner in the UI, since it can be configured
with more than one different SearchParameter
,

the returned results may differ significantly when a different
SearchParameter is used. I'm afraid you'll have to post process the
response to get the most relevant keywords. You can also consider using the
Keyword
optimizer  which shows how
to combine the TargetingIdeaService

 and TrafficEstimatorService

 to
find an optimized set of keywords using an iterative process.

 Hi,

 I the last 3-4 days, we are seeing the Click Performance Report
 returning rows for with duplicate googleClickID values. We are using
  v201609. Only difference is the clickType in those rows. I understand
 this
 is expected for reports dealing with impressions, but we've been running
 this click report for at least a year, and never seen it return dupes like
 this, so we suspect a recent (intentional?) change.

 Based on the documentation
 ,

 it seems that as the user can only click one area of the ad, only one row
 (click type) should be returned. If they clicked it twice, it should have
 a
 different googleClickID the second time:

 *"The ClickType field will reflect each area of the ad that the user
 clicked for each GclId. This differs from other reports, where the
 ClickType shows every area of the ad that was shown to the user for each
 impression."*

 Example:

 >>> campaignID="377706899" clickType="Headline" adID="101702313179"
 keywordID="1921524420" day="2017-04-14" device="Mobile devices with full
 browsers"
 googleClickID="EAIaIQobChMI5OuP84yk0wIVB0wNCh1S_wMFEAAYASAAEgKcsfD_BwE"
 userListID="--" />

 >>> campaignID="377706899" clickType="Sitelink" adID="101702313179"
 keywordID="1921524420" day="2017-04-14" device="Mobile devices with full
 browsers"
 googleClickID="EAIaIQobChMI5OuP84yk0wIVB0wNCh1S_wMFEAAYASAAEgKcsfD_BwE"
 userListID="--" />

 Can someone please let us know if this is a permanent change or a
 change that will be reverted? It is affecting a good chunk of our
 customers.

 Thanks,
 Hans

Re: Using Set Operator for offlineconversion

2017-06-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Venkat,

Imported conversions cannot be updated or removed once they're imported.
OfflineConversionFeedOperation

 supports
only the ADD operator. SET and REMOVE are not supported. If you want to
upload multiple conversions of the same type, for the same click, you can
do so using a different combination of GCLID, "ConversionName," date, and
time. AdWords will record them as separate conversions as long as they have
different times (the GCLIDs and conversion names can be identical).

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Re: Using Adwords API on shared hosting without command line ssh

2017-06-02 Thread 'Shwetha Vastrad (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Nick,

You can create a web application and follow the steps provided here
 to
setup API access for web flow. This guide

 provides
sample code snippets which show how to set up the client library and use
OAuth2 to make calls using the client library. This client library uses the
Google
Auth library  to handle
OAuth2. The preferred method to download the client library is via composer
. If you would rather not use composer, you can
download the package in its entirety. The Releases
 page lists all
stable versions of the Google Auth library. Download any file with the name
google-api-php-client-[RELEASE_NAME].zip for a package including this
library and its dependencies. Uncompress the zip file you download, and
include the autoloader in your project.

I would also recommend that you post this question on the client library's
issue
tracker  so they can
help you out.

Regards,
Shwetha, AdWords API Team.

Clickid and Site

2017-06-02 Thread venkat . jg1980
Hi
  We trying to find which site does a google click id belong. This is
meant for non search related campaigns where google can serve our ad based
on relevance. We have clickid in our system and if we can get site
associated with that click id, it solves a major puzzle.
We have looked into click performance report and it does not have the site.

Please let us know if there is any way to get to it.

Appreciate any help in this regard

Wrong Documentation on Ad Performance Report / PolicySummary?

I'm trying to migrate to v201705 and found an error in the documentation:

The documentation

 - Type is documented as AdGroupAdPolicySummary, but it's in an Json list.

Could you please update the documentation?

Re: rateexceedederror targetingideaservice

2017-06-02 Thread karim . benna
Hi Ivan,

I did what you advised me to do and my request got approved. When i tried
to relunch my Program using the API i still had an error.

And this is the program using the API:

// Get the TargetingIdeaService.
for (String[] keyWordsArray : keyWordsList) {
new ArrayList();
TargetingIdeaServiceInterface targetingIdeaService =
adWordsServices.get(session,
TargetingIdeaServiceInterface.class);

// Create selector.
TargetingIdeaSelector selector = new TargetingIdeaSelector();
selector.setRequestType(RequestType.STATS);
selector.setIdeaType(IdeaType.KEYWORD);
selector.setRequestedAttributeTypes(
new AttributeType[] { AttributeType.SEARCH_VOLUME,
AttributeType.KEYWORD_TEXT });

// Set selector paging (required for targeting idea service).
Paging paging = new Paging();
paging.setStartIndex(0);
paging.setNumberResults(1000);
selector.setPaging(paging);

// Create related to query search parameter.
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter relatedToQuerySearchParameter = new
RelatedToQuerySearchParameter();
relatedToQuerySearchParameter.setQueries(keyWordsArray);

// Language setting (optional).
// The ID can be found in the documentation:
// https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/appendix/languagecodes
// See the documentation for limits on the number of allowed
// language
// parameters:
//
https://developers.google.com/adwords/api/docs/reference/latest/TargetingIdeaService.LanguageSearchParameter
LanguageSearchParameter languageParameter = new LanguageSearchParameter();
Language german = new Language();
german.setId(1001L);
languageParameter.setLanguages(new Language[] { german });

LocationSearchParameter locationParameter = new LocationSearchParameter();
Location germany = new Location();
germany.setId(2276L);
locationParameter.setLocations(new Location[] { germany });

// Create network search parameter (optional).
NetworkSetting networkSetting = new NetworkSetting();
networkSetting.setTargetGoogleSearch(true);
networkSetting.setTargetSearchNetwork(false);
networkSetting.setTargetContentNetwork(false);
networkSetting.setTargetPartnerSearchNetwork(false);

NetworkSearchParameter networkSearchParameter = new
NetworkSearchParameter();
networkSearchParameter.setNetworkSetting(networkSetting);

selector.setSearchParameters(new SearchParameter[] {
relatedToQuerySearchParameter, languageParameter,
networkSearchParameter, locationParameter });

// Get related keywords.
TargetingIdeaPage page = targetingIdeaService.get(selector);

// Display related keywords.
if (page.getEntries() != null && page.getEntries().length > 0) {
System.out.println("The page size is: " + page.getTotalNumEntries());
ArrayList betweenList = new ArrayList();
for (TargetingIdea targetingIdea : page.getEntries()) {
Map data = Maps.toMap(targetingIdea.getData());
data.get(AttributeType.KEYWORD_TEXT);
data.get(AttributeType.CATEGORY_PRODUCTS_AND_SERVICES);
Long averageMonthlySearches = ((LongAttribute)
data.get(AttributeType.SEARCH_VOLUME)).getValue();
String keywordText = ((StringAttribute)
data.get(AttributeType.KEYWORD_TEXT)).getValue();
betweenList.add(keywordText);
betweenList.add(Long.toString(averageMonthlySearches));
System.out.println(
"Keyword with text " + keywordText + " and Search volume: " +
averageMonthlySearches);
}
keyWordsWithSV.add(betweenList);
} else {
System.out.println("No related keywords were found.");
}
}

Kind Regards & Thank you for helping,

Karim Benna

Removal of AdGroupAd.approvalStatus from 2017.05

2017-06-02 Thread suvodhoy sinha
Hi,

I was going through the latest api migration guide and it seems
"approvalStatus" was removed. We now have to fetch "policySummary" to get
the combinedApprovalStatus. This isnt a problem as long as we are able to
filter based on the status like before. But it seems with the new changes
we might have to fetch all the ads and filter at our end. Is this expected
or am I missing something? Kindly assist.
