Re: Some keywords are failing whole volume batch in TargettingIdeaService

2018-02-28 Thread cv
Hello Anash,

I am still facing the issue from past few days. When I run the service with
10-15 keywords it is not returning values, but when I ran the individual
keywords it is providing me ideas through API.

Is there still issue with API?

Thanks,

Unable to submit/retrieve raw xml report structure through Insomnia Rest client

2018-02-28 Thread Scott G
Hi,

I'm using the standard xml custom report definition given in the Reporting
Basics docs
as below:

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201710;>

CampaignId
AdGroupId
Impressions
Clicks
Cost

  AdGroupStatus
  IN
  ENABLED
  PAUSED

  Custom Adgroup Performance Report
  ADGROUP_PERFORMANCE_REPORT
  LAST_7_DAYS
  CSV

In my understanding, all I need to do is POST this to
https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/reportdownload/v201710 with my
headers and it will return the report -

Headers are attached to the request as in the image attached. And I was
able to retrieve the ReportDefinitionService outline so the authentication
is not the issue.

Just wondering if I'm missing something on this request.

Thanks

Re: Location of adsapi_php.ini

2018-02-28 Thread 'Dhanya Sundararaju (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Marty,

As per the README

 file
in the guide, the examples are meant to be run from the command line and
not as a webpage. That may be the reason, DOCUMENT_ROOT is not included.
Anyhow, glad that it worked. Moving further, within the examples
,
the builder's fromFile() method looks for an adsapi_php.ini file in your
home directory by default. If you want to store this file in another
directory, please pass the path of the file as an argument. For example:

fromFile('/config/myprops.ini')

If you still face issues, could you run GetCampaigns.php

 and
send across the complete SOAP logs?

In order to remove an ad extension from an AdGroup, you can use the REMOVE

 to
remove the association between the adgroup and all feed items in the
extension setting. Thereafter, you can add ad extensions

 on
the AdGroups using any feed. Please refer the guide

Re: Retrieving Adwords Ads Extension Data using API

2018-02-28 Thread 'Bharani Cherukuri (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hello Asad,

It is currently not possible to get the Extension name using the Placeholder
Feed Item Report
.

You will be able to get all other data using this report type. You could
use the FeedId

 from
this report and then do a FeedService.get(), by filtering based on the
FeedId to get the Feed name.

If you're using the FeedService alone to retrieve the Extension name, you
could query for the name

 field
and use FeedService.get(). Let me know if you have any other questions.

Re: Possible to retrieve invoices through API?

2018-02-28 Thread bastien rabaute
Hi Garrett, Milind,

@Milind: It does eight years (and surely more years) that agencies are
asking for this feature. Every month, our clients or agencies have to go
into sub menu and deep features to find a mandatory document: the invoice.

I don't really understand why Google doesn't want to provide an easy way to
retrieve it. Is it a security problem ?

At least, if this is not possible through API, an automatic email to the
payment contact would be helpful.

Thanks for your work,

Bastien

Re: Tracking of Draft & Experiment campaigns

2018-02-28 Thread 'Sreelakshmi Sasidharan (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi Mathieu,

The AdId is not globally unique
 in
case of any type of campaigns (Base, Draft, Trial). You might not have
observed duplicate AdIds in your account. But, there is a possibility that
it could be duplicate. That being said, you will need to use the
combination of AdGroupId and AdId to refer to Ads irrespective of the
campaign type. In your example, it is likely that the AdId in the drafts
are same but there is no guarantee that it will always have the same Id.
Using along with the AdGroupId will ensure that you are always referring to
the correct Ad.

Hope this clarifies your question.

Thanks,
Sreelakshmi, AdWords API Team

I have difficulties with understanding why my Geo Performance report which
I get from API is different from what I see in Adwords Geographic Report.
Here is my report xml:

https://adwords.google.com/api/adwords/cm/v201710;>CampaignIdCampaignNameCityCriteriaIdCountryCriteriaIdRegionCriteriaIdMetroCriteriaIdDateImpressionsClicksCostAdNetworkType1LocationTypeMostSpecificCriteriaIdIsTargetingLocationCampaignIdINMYIDHERECityCriteriaIdIN90526762018010120180131Adwords
 Geo
ListGEO_PERFORMANCE_REPORTCUSTOM_DATECSV

Attaching a csv report that I get as a result. It has in summary 7 clicks and
9558 impressions and Location Type = Physical location only.

When I check Adwords Geographic report for this campaign and same city = piney
point village I see next

My questions are:
Why I don't get Location of interest data in API report? I tried to add

IsTargetingLocation
IN
true

LocationType
IN
LOCATION_OF_PRESENCE
AREA_OF_INTEREST
UNKNOWN

but got the same response.

Even Physical Location summary impressions in API report doesn't match UI.

What am I missing? I'll appreciate any help on this. Thanks!

would it not be better adding this to the API ?

Re: Can't set DYNAMIC_IMAGE MediaType when uploading animated GIF image via MediaService

2018-02-28 Thread 'Josh Radcliff (AdWords API Team)' via AdWords API Forum
Hi,

Glad to hear the animated gif is working for you. Regarding VIDEO, you can
only *retrieve* videos from *MediaService*. You cannot upload videos. This
is mentioned in the documentation for the upload method
,

but we're about to improve the documentation at the service level to help
clarify this point. If you want to upload videos, you will have to use the
user interface.

Hi, yes I can create the ad using UI with the very same animated

The question is, why does MediaService reply with ok when I upload

Re: Tracking of Draft & Experiment campaigns

2018-02-28 Thread eureca
Hi Sreelakshmi,
ok does that mean that in the case of the Draft & Experiment type of
campaigns, the creativeid is identical (being that it's tested) and the
adgroup beging different from the base campaign the creativeid + adgroupid
will be unique from the base campaign for the linked draft campaign ?
Example :

- Base Campaign : creativeid = 123456789 adgroupid = 123456
- Draft Campaign #1 from above Base campaign : creativeid = 123456789
adgroupid = 321654
- Draft Campaign #2 from above Base campaign : creativeid = 123456789
adgroupid = 987654

 Does that make sense ?

AdGroupFeeds: changing to a different feed

2018-02-28 Thread Ewout B
Hi all,

In our application we are creating extension items and we send them to
AdWords. The items are then saved in an extension feed, which is different
from the main feed for the same specific type.
Customers were using extensions they made themselves previously, which are
stored in the main feed. Initially, there was a link between the adGroups
and the feed items in the main feed.
Now we want to change it, such that the adGroups can be coupled to feed
items in our own feed.

At first I simply wanted to change the feedId in the adGroupFeed, but this
seems impossible. The second solution was to REMOVE the original
adGroupFeed and make a new one coupled to our custom feed.
This does work, however the problem I now encounter is if I try to change
back to the original feed. I cannot update the adGroupFeed that had this
coupling, because 'it is removed', nor make a new one with the specific
adGroupId and feedId, because 'it already exists'.

I suppose it would be nice if one could simply change the feedId in an
adGroupFeed or else be able to re-enable removed adGroupFeeds.
Any other suggestions on how to tackle this problem would be most welcome.

Cheers,
Ewout

Can a single Batch Job operate across multiple accounts?

2018-02-28 Thread Yang Gao
I think I've gone through all the documentation and my assumption is NO but
would like to confirm. I.e. Is it possible to push operations for various
entities across multiple accounts, maybe under a since MCC, with one batch
job?

Thanks,
Yang
